The Gateway arch is an iconic part of the St. Louis skyline and history. The Gateway Arch reflects St. Louis' role in the Westward Expansion of the United States during the nineteenth century. The park is a memorial to Thomas Jefferson's role in opening the West, to the pioneers who helped shape its history, and to Dred Scott who sued for his freedom in the Old Courthouse. You can explore the park, take a ride to the top, or if you want to learn more about St. Louis history, check out the museum under the arch. If you would like to ride to the top of the arch, make sure to buy your tickets as soon as possible as they do sell out weeks in advance! https://www.gatewayarch.com/
Forest Park is considered one of the nation’s greatest urban public parks. The Park’s 1,300 acres feature beautiful landscapes sprinkled with forests, ecosystems, nature reserves, lakes and streams. It is also the home of our wedding venue, The Saint Louis Art Museum.
Housed in the 10-story, 600,000 square-foot warehouse, City Museum is a mixture of children’s playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of found and repurposed objects. It is definitely a must see for your first visit to St. Louis. http://www.citymuseum.org/
We will be spending Sunday at the annual Chinese Culture Day at the Missouri Botanical Gardens and would love for you to join us. The celebration features all day performances (dance, martial arts, music, acrobatics, tea ceremonies), a dragon parade, and Chinese food stands, all while enjoying the beautiful gardens. The Hwang family has been performing at this event since they moved to Saint Louis and we lucked out this year when it fell on the Sunday of our wedding weekend! Hope to see you there! Tickets are $16 (recommend buying tickets in advance). https://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/things-to-do/events/event-details/sreventid/1565.aspx

This outdoor market is one of the oldest farmers market in the United States that traces back to an open air farmer’s market in the area that began in 1779. Stop by for a stroll and taste some St. Louis classic snacks, fresh produce and baked goods, and pick up some souvenirs from your trip.
St. Louis Classics to try out while you are in town: Toasted Ravioli (recommend heading to The Hill for some of the best toasted rav) Gooey Butter Cake Frozen Custard (Ted Drewes is the most famous but our favorite is Mr. Wizard's) For Beer Lovers check out: Urban Chestnut Brewing Co.
