Shannon Zelinka

Best Woman

One of the two best women I know, and twin sister to Best Woman #2. Shannon and I met in first grade, but became best friends in high school where we both hurdled on the indoor and outdoor Track teams. Shan and I remained close and visited each other at all of our colleges and grad schools over the years. I got to be in Shannon's wedding in 2011, and Shan and her husband Mark now have a four-year-old son and a brand new baby girl. They live out in California and I wish I got to see them more, but I'm so happy to have Shan by my side at our wedding. She is truly one of the most kind and thoughtful human beings in the world, and cares so deeply for other people. I count myself lucky to be among her good friends. Love you, Shanny!! <3

Leah Elliott

Best Woman

Leah is my best friend and Best Woman, along with her twin Shannon. Leah and I also became best friends through high school track. Leah is an incredible person all around: smart, loyal, dependable, caring, silly, and sweet. She is always there for me, and always does the right thing and the most kind thing. Leah was out in Michigan for many years, but is now in Rochester and I'm so grateful to be able see her more often! Leah married Rob in 2012 and they have two adorable boys. I'm so lucky to have Leah as one of my best friends and to be there with me on my wedding day. Love you, Leah Janers!! <3

Julia MacCallum

The Ladies

Julia is my sister(-in-law). She married my brother, Scott, back in 2012 and she is such a wonderful addition to our family. Julia is a impressive person: super smart doctor, expert-knitter, half-marathoner, and an amazing mom to my beautiful niece and Flower Girl, Valerie! Not only that, but she's incredibly thoughtful and sweet, and the caring sister that I always wanted in my life. I'm so happy that Julia, Scott, & Val now live in Rochester and that I get to see them all the time! Always with a strong opinion and great taste, Julia has been so good at helping me make decisions for our wedding and I'm so excited to share the day with her. Love you, Jules!! <3

Alicia Greco

The Ladies

Alicia is my cousin, so I've known her her whole life! We grew up spending a lot of time together, and as the only female cousins on the Greco side, we were very close. I cherish the memories of playing silly games together at our grandparents' house, family trips to the NY State Fair, and camping trips up at Nicks Lake in the Adirondacks when we were kids. As we got older, we've had fun sharing music and drinks and more family time together. Alicia is a passionate and vibrant person, and she deeply loves her friends and family. She lives in Chicago now, so I'm so happy to have her back in Buffalo to share this day with me. Love you, cugina!! <3

Cecilia Lima

The Ladies

Cecilia is one of my oldest friends. We met around the age of 6, when we both joined Indian Princesses. Cecilia/Tiger Lily and I/Eagle Feather were both members of the Cayuga tribe, and we've been friends ever since! We've done a lot together since those early days: concerts, festivals, Stiletto Runs, Sabres games, and more. We even lived together for a year on Richmond, during which we frequented Mr. GoodBar many many times. One week of 2013, Cecilia started dating Amir and I started dating Mike, and the rest is history! I was honored to be a part of Cecilia and Amir's wedding this past August, and am so happy to have her with me on my big day. I admire her outspokenness and trustworthiness, and no one else shares my love of shoes and champagne quite as much. Love you, Shorty!! <3

Brienna Larsen

Brie and I are old college roomies! We met freshman year, when we both lived in the basement of Hendrick Hall. After a dramatic and scandalous rooming debacle, I was so lucky to move in with Brie--one of the best friends I've ever had! Brie is an incredible wife, mom, and teacher. We've bonded over music (mostly Ani D), sports, silliness and laughter. Brie is such a good friend and will always be honest and supportive. She even helped me through the horror of my first tattoo, but still makes fun of how much I screamed and cried. I know that Brie will always be there and that our friendship will always be fun and comfortable like it was in college and I'm so grateful for that. Brie married Kristin in '11, has a son, and is giving birth again just weeks before my wedding! Love you, Brie!! <3

Rosellen Marohn

Ros and I met when we both worked at a running store about seven years ago. We quickly became friends and shared a lot of miles and a few Ragnar Relays over the years. Ros served in the Peace Corps, is now in Law School, and also works with me on the Corporate Challenge. She's very hard-working and smart, and enjoys helping me with things I don't like or understand like contracts, and I'm helping her learn to love cats! She's a great person and an even better friend, and has always been there for me when I need someone to talk through problems with. Ros lives with her boyfriend Pat and their beloved dog, Rosie. I'm so grateful to have a friend that understands and supports me as much as Ros and I'm so glad she agreed to be my Wedding Operations Manager. Love you, Rosy Cakes!! <3
