Boulder is a fun town with great restaurants, cute shops, and gorgeous mountain views. We love walking around Pearl Street, grabbing a bite at Avanti, and hiking (Chautauqua has lots of great trails). ~40 minutes north of Denver.
Estes Park is a charming mountain town that's perfect for a day trip. Explore the shops, grab some tasty food, and take in the stunning Rocky Mountain views. ~1.5 hours north of Denver.
Rocky Mountain National Park is a must-see for incredible mountain views, scenic drives, and endless hiking trails. If you plan on visiting, we recommend making a reservation (we recommend the "Timed Entry+Bear Lake Road" reservation) here: https://www.recreation.gov/. Our favorite hikes are Sky Pond Trail (hard) and Nymph, Dream, Emerald, and Haiyaha Lakes via Nymph Lake Trail (moderate). ~1.5 hours north of Denver. Timed entry reservations for July will open on June 1st at 8AM MDT and fill up quickly.
