Mike and Lexie first met in Junior High, though they grew up only 5 miles from each other. The summer before high school, they were both camping in New Harmony with friends and the group played a game of truth or dare. They both admitted they liked each other and the rest was pretty much history from there... Though high school, they attended four Christmas Dances and 2 1/2 proms! They have fun memories of crazy rainy day shenanigans that resulted in the 1/2 prom. Both were in 4-H where they made memories at the county fair and countless cow shows. They dated all through high school, graduated together, and then went on to college. The next few years were busy as they adopted their adorable dog, graduated college, and started grad school. Flash forward a few years later, Lexie and Mike took a trip to Gatlinburg with Mikayla (Mike's sister) and Dylan (her husband). Mike planned to propose sometime during the trip but wasn't sure when or how. Dylan and Mikayla helped plan and keep up the shenanigans and Lexie was clueless. On the last night of the trip, Mike proposed to Lexie outside under the stars just before a rain storm. It was perfect! They called family and friends to share the good news that after 10 years of dating, they were finally engaged!! The next morning, they took photos near a beautiful waterfall to help preserve the memory. We look forward to making more memories in the future and can't wait to celebrate our wedding with family and friends! Fun fact: we saw the only bear on the trip on the way home.
