Kirsten had just finished up her first year of college and returned back to her hometown of Healdsburg to begin her summer job as a coffee barista at Oakville Grocery. Despite the Canadian tuxedo uniform, she caught the eye of the handsome, tattooed gentleman behind the prepared foods counter. Mike quickly learned the way to Kirsten's heart was through her stomach, so he put extra care into preparing her lunches and always hand-delivered them to her so he could chat her up and make her laugh. Little did Mike know, Kirsten had already been crushing on him since the first time they met and his dazzling smile and bright blue eyes gave her butterflies. A few weeks after meeting, Mike mustered up the courage and asked Kirsten to join him for an afternoon of bowling after work. Kirsten tried to keep her cool and responded with an "I'd love to!" but on the inside, she was freaking out with excitement. Their first date began with bowling, then continued on with some driving around, as you do in a small town, and then they went to the movies where Mike wasted no time in going in for some hand-holding. Ever since that first date, Mike and Kirsten have been inseparable. After three long years of long-distance while Kirsten finished school, they were so thrilled to finally be able to get their own place together in Silicon Valley and truly start their lives together. After nearly four years together, Mike took Kirsten out to Santa Cruz on a warm July evening and asked her to spend forever with him. Now, the pair are so incredibly excited to tie the knot and are thrilled they will get to spend a lifetime full of love and laughter together.
