Matron of Honor
Lilly has been in a relationship to Mikes Best Man for well over a decade. She has been an amazing friend of mine since Mike and I started dating. She always is ready to talk wedding and has had a Pinterest board for our wedding for years. This lady is one great mother and I love raising our children together! We love spending lazy evenings together watching RomComs and ordering takeout in pajamas while our kids interrupt constantly with trouble or tantrums.
Best Man
Justin Cornelius is through and through the greatest guy I’ve ever known. He’s guided me and supported me through some of the greatest and worst times of my life. I cannot imagine where I would be in life had I not had Justin through those critical moments. I’ve loved him. I’ve hated him. I’ve pitied him. I’ve envied him. Most of my adult life was spent with him by my side and there is no one else more deserving of standing next to me as my Best Man than my Honest to God Best Friend.
Man of Honor
Nathan Miles could and honestly might be my soul mate. We understand each other on a molecular level. He challenges me mentally, spiritually, and culinarily unlike anyone I’ve ever known. I’m so thankful to call him my brother. Nathan is truly the Most Interesting Man in the World. He is the the most frequent call just to check on my well-being and offer me words of love and encouragement. Just a five minute conversation with him is able to center me from my farthest wanderings. Words could never do justice, and these are just words. I love you, Nathan.
Groomsman
Jerry Stephenson is one of my oldest friends. I’m proud to say that we have grown together in ways that I cannot even express. He is simply put the most loyal friend I’ve ever had the pleasure of having. He’d give me the shirt off of his back but it wouldn’t fit me. I find solace in our friendship. I am calmed by his words and his presence. Our friendship has a very solid foundation, which actually is the name of the only podcast I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of: Bourbon and Ball. One day, we’ll actually successfully record an episode…maybe.
Bridesmaid
Kayleigh! My built in best friend! As kids we fought, played, repeat. There’s nothing like a sister! Even though we are quick to make each other angry. For 2 people raised in the same family and only 19 months apart, we have always had very different personalities. But we have always been a phone call away even for conversations that couldn’t be done on speakerphone. I always knew you’d be my bridesmaid and even though it’s not really your style, here we are!
Groomsman
He probably doesn’t know it, but he was one of the brightest lights in the darkness that was my college experience. He gave me my first Game Night. We built a great bond while working and schooling together and have maintained a friendship for over 10 years. Life took us on different paths that were more similar than different. I’m beyond excited to build on our brotherhood as family men with children of close age. I’m so thankful for our past but even more excited for our future time spent.
Mother of the Bride
Mom, I remember showing you Mikes Facebook pictures during a holiday dinner at an Asian Buffet. I remember it just being very casual and I know you didn’t expect for me to be marrying him 5 years later. It’s crazy how life happens like that isn’t it?! You’ve listened to me talk pretty much every day for forever. And I love that you’re going to be there watching as I marry the love of my life.
Father of the Bride
Dad I’m so excited for you to walk me down the aisle. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of. I love you and I hope you’re proud of the woman I’ve become.
