Believe it or not, Southwest Michigan is also known for their wineries - and there are 15 on the wine trail. Our favorite (other than Tabor Hill) is Round Barn, a fun winery, brewery & spirits. Usually have live music and food trucks. It’s right down the street from where we will be getting married if you want to check out Michigan’s wine country we recommend starting here!
If you want to explore another beach town, we recommend South Haven. It's only about 25 minutes away and has a cute downtown, great restaurants (check out the Idler - a riverboat and bar) and has a nice light house/
One of two public beaches in town.
One of two public beaches in town.
If you want to get a round of golf in while you're here, we recommend Harbor Shores. You can book a tee time on their website. It is a Jack Nicklaus course that hosts the Senior PGA KitchenAid tournament every few years (if you get a chance, ask Mackenzie's brother Connor how his first round went here :)).
Where we met. A fun hole in the wall bar on the St. Joe river with dock seating and live music.
Awesome pizza with an even better view of the lake. Known for their scooners🍻.
One of our favorite restaurants in downtown St. Joe. Upscale dining with its famous horseshoe bar and rooftop lake views. Firecracker shrimp and Southwest chicken salad are 🔥.
Fun place for lunch and a drink. You can make a reservation on Open Table which we recommend because it can be busy. Mike says their Maple Bourbon Chicken Sandwich is the best in town!
Second best burger in town. Awesome downtown vibe with a two story deck out back over looking Lake Michigan.
Stroll along the bluff and check out local artisans. 9am-2pm every Saturday.
This is a fun brewery in town. Sometimes they have live music! TBA!
Best burger in town! The Golden Bear's favorite local spot with great views of his course with North Pier Brewery across the street. The ring of fire burger with a happy guy is a St. Joe staple.
The newest addition to downtown St. Joe - local indoor farmer's market with a bunch of cute shops.
