Travel Note
The most common way to get to Nantucket is to take one of two ferry lines, both of which depart from Hyannis. There is also a ferry that leaves from New Bedford, MA (https://seastreak.com/). HY-LINE CRUISES: 220 Ocean St. Hyannis, MA 02601 Hy-Line runs fast ferries that arrive on Nantucket within 1 hour. We recommend booking in advance online (https://hylinecruises.com/); you can reserve on-site parking at the same time. STEAMSHIP AUTHORITY: 69 South St. Hyannis, MA 02601 Steamship runs a fast ferry (no cars; 1 hour) and a slow ferry (carries cars; roughly 2.5 hours). We recommend booking in advance online (https://www.steamshipauthority.com/); you can also reserve on-site parking. If you are planning on bringing a car, we recommend making a reservation ASAP. Cars are certainly not necessary on the island, especially if you're staying in town. We will be providing transportation to events and there are cabs, ubers, buses, bike rentals, etc.! More info under "Things To Do".
Travel Note
