Our Fathers are childhood friends and they decided that we needed to meet in December of 2017. Then we started talking on Facebook since we lived in separate states, growing emotionally closer with each passing day.

Mike's dad was getting married to Lulu in Arizona at the end of May and Mike was the best man in the wedding. After the wedding he drove to Las Vegas to take me out on our first date on May 27th 2018, which ended up being Hooters on Tropicana because I have never been there. That night we went to go see Carrot Top at the Luxor. Afterwords we went back to the MGM, to get a key for me because I worked at 1-9 that morning. We were standing in line and Mike put his arms around me and I felt a spark, I just knew I wanted to be with this man for the rest of my life. A few days after Mike left I decided I wanted to go to Seattle to surprise him for his birthday, so I called Mikes mother Donna and asked her if she could pick me up from the airport and she said of course. The day before I was suppose to be in Seattle Mike asked me to be his girlfriend over the phone and I said yes!! We continued to date long distance and travel back and forth to see each other, then I decided to move to Seattle with Mike on December 27th 2018.

We had an air B&B cabin booked for September 17th and 18th on Bainbridge Island in a beautiful wooded setting. We got there early, decided to drive around ending up at Fay Bainbridge Park. We walked down the beach hand in hand enjoying the beautiful views of the Puget Sound. There as an erect tepee at the waters edge we decided to explore. As I walked thru the structure, Mike placed me on the log in front, handed me a seashell, started recording and got down on one knee, and made me the happiest I have ever been!
