KP and her roommates were throwing a 21st birthday party for their friend, Kayla. Kayla invited her boyfriend (now husband) to the party and he brought a friend...enter, Mike. Mike walked through the door, saw KP for the first time, and that was it... just kidding, KP played hard to get for six months after that. But when Mike asked KP to be his girlfriend on September 2nd, 2019, KP was happy to say yes. They dated for 5 years - they dated through all of COVID, graduating college, 5 different vehicles between the two of them, traveling to 13 different states, and rescuing their dog-child, Kaiya. Finally, after some light badgering from KP, Mike planned the perfect proposal on the softball field (KP's favorite place) of the campus where they first met, and KP was, once again, happy to say YES!
