We were set up through our mutual friend & funny man Nick Rose in the West Village. Mike was instantly blinded by Kara's sparkly footwear but was put at ease when she laughed at his stupid joke about them. Margaritas turned into a trip to a dive bar where Mike confessed to hating girls who were on their phones while out on a date. Kara kept this in mind during their first few dates and pretended to be in awe of all of her surroundings. Kara was 45 minutes late to their first date at a wine bar in Hell's Kitchen (busy life of working in fashion). They shared a flatbread with arugula and prosciutto and later on she had to explain to Mike that prosciutto is in fact meat and thus not part of her diet. She strategically selected the flatbread pieces without Mike's knowledge. The rest is history <3
