Julie Peterson cleverly came up with this hashtag for our wedding. We want everyone to take as many pictures throughout the whole day and use #verdunbeingsingle when posting to Instagram or Facebook. Remember when people used to put disposable cameras on each table and ask everyone to take random pictures throughout the night. This is a more modern take on that idea. We are hoping to capture some amazing memories and share them with everyone including people who weren't able to make it.
We wish we could invite everyone's kids but due to the maximum capacity at the Elk's club that is not possible. We know this might put some people in a tight spot and we hate that. However, we have invited the children of close family members. Your children should be listed on this site when you RSVP so you can choose a meal for them. If anyone has any questions at all please do not hesitate to contact either of us to ask.
We have decided to go with just one option for the adult main entree. You will be served a dish called Chicken Arden which is a thinly sliced chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto ham, leeks, and mozzarella cheese that is rolled and hand breaded then baked to a golden brown and topped with a garlic cream sauce then garnished with crispy prosciutto and fried leeks. The children's option will be fried chicken tenders and fries.
The wedding party is planning on doing pictures at a couple different locations immediately following the ceremony. You should have time to check into your hotel room or stop by one of the local bars for a drink while you wait but we have arranged for a cocktail hour that will begin at 4:00. Drinks and appetizers will be served and guests will have time to mingle and find their seats prior to the wedding parties arrival.
We're not rich but we like to party so we purchased kegs of beer and bottles of wine that will be free until we run out. There will also be a full bar open and serving mixed drinks the whole night as well as beer and wine when the free stuff runs out.
