Michael and I went here on a rainy day, and it was fun to see how they evolved from Motorcycles to planes. We enjoyed seeing how they were able to create seaplanes and seeing them both in person and through videos.
We are dedicated to preserving, educating, and celebrating the history of boating and boat building in the Finger Lakes Region of New York State.
Although we haven't been here yet, we plan to add this on our next trip to the lake. Will update our website when we figure that out.
Mike and I hiked up Watkins Glen with our good friends Jon and Jamal. It is a fun hike, but please be mindful that the hike is a little less than two miles and is about 400 ft to the top. You can take a shuttle to the top and walk down, but this is NOT the hike if you have knee issues, as there are a lot of steps. It also gets slippery in some parts due to waterfalls. Please keep that in mind, as other hiking options are less strenuous.
If you like history, this is for you! Take a moment to walk around the town and see some historic houses and ones that you can tour.
Our Favorite Winery! The view, the vibe, the wine-this place has it all! It is our favorite! If you can make the stop, we highly recommend it!
This is one of the older wineries and has such great wine!
This is such a nice winery! Great view, great vibe, come to relax and enjoy some time with friends or family. Usually, they have bands Friday-Sunday, farmers markets, and lots of options for drinks as well as bocce ball!
Cool vibe, in a converted barn. Set back from Main Street next to a Bed and Breakfast. Good Beer, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff!
A favorite for John and Linda as well as the rest of the Confer Clan! This will be your favorite local bar where you really feel like everyone could know your name...if you lived here. Bar food, NY wines, and NY beers, as well as your typical favorites-Miller and Coors Lite. :) Pool table and shuffleboard. Sure, you might get a few looks from the townies, but who doesn't love a good dive bar!
This is the spot where they will let you play a song on their piano and make you feel right at home. A slight Goonies vibe with the chairs and tables, but the food is good, and the people are great!
The restaurant is great! They also have a winery museum that delves into the family's background and the process of making wine. Additionally, they have a cute gift shop and wine tasting! This is a sweet-semi-sweet winery! Although this isn't my go-to for wine, the restaurant and gift shop is great!
Our wedding caterer! Their food is great! Check them out for Pizza, salads, or an entree.
