Out of state guests should fly into Denver International Airport. Buena Vista is about a ~2.5 hour drive from the airport. It's fairly easy drive as far as mountain passes go, no need to worry about snow or 4WD! 

For those coming from the airport, the best route to take is Highway 285 vs I70. There is much less traffic and mountain passes.

Buena Vista is a small mountain town and lodging is limited. We encourage you to book your travel asap!
