The Southernmost Point Buoy is an anchored concrete buoy in Key West, Florida, marking the southernmost point in the continental United States, the lowest latitude land of contiguous North American states. It is 18 feet above sea level.

The Hemingway Home and Museum

Ernest Hemingway lived and wrote in this for ten years. During that time he wrote seventy percent of his life-time works. Today we operate as a museum providing guided tours every fifteen minutes from nine to five. Visit this National Historic Landmark, Literary Landmark and recognized by the Library of Congress for its importance in U.S. History. Grand Architecture, Lush Gardens, Educational Tours, Book Store/Gift Shop and the world famous Poly dactyl (six-toed cats).

Almost 70 miles west of Key West, Florida, lies a cluster of seven islands, composed of coral reefs and sand, called the Dry Tortugas. With the surrounding shoals and water, they make up the Dry Tortugas National Park, an area noted for bird and marine life and shipwrecks. Fort Jefferson, its central feature, is one of the nation's largest 1800s masonry forts. Cars are not able to access the island. The only methods of transportation are by boat or seaplane.

Sloppy Joe’s … A Key West Tradition! Open since 1933, this bar offers live music & dancing plus a separate tap room for sports-watching. During the prohibition era, “Sloppy” Joe Russell ran illegal speakeasies in Key West. Once prohibition ended, Russell's covert barkeeping became legitimate and he opened the Blind Pig, a run-down saloon that served booze and neglected ambiance.
