When should I RSVP by?

Absolutely. Please note any allergies or dietary restrictions on the reverse side of your response card.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Please join us in formal attire: suits and ties, long dresses and other polished eveningwear. Because our celebration embraces all the best parts of spring, guests are encouraged to incorporate soft seasonal colors, floral prints, or other playful details. Think of it as formalwear with a touch of “Garden Party Chic.”

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
We ask that guests are seated by 1:45 p.m. to ensure a prompt ceremony start time of 2:00 p.m.

Is there a break between the ceremony and reception? What should I do during that time?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony is expected to end around 3 p.m., which gives you about a two‑hour break before cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. We recommend using that time to check into the hotel, freshen up, or take a quick rest so you’re energized for the celebration ahead. If you’re already dressed and ready to go, or if you’re not staying at the hotel, you’re welcome to relax in the hotel lobby or head up to Twiggs Lounge on the upper level for a drink while you wait.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
All components of our special day will take place indoors. The Simsbury Inn does offer adjacent outdoor spaces should you wish to take a break in the fresh air.

Is there an afterparty?
Answer
Absolutely! Once the reception winds down, guests are invited to keep the celebration going at Twiggs Lounge, located in the hotel’s upper lobby.
