Mike and Gabe were both invited to be guests on the Black Tribbles, a geek-talk radio show on PhillyCAM's low-power FM station 106.5 LP FM. They were invited to talk about a truly geeky topic - Anime Opening Theme Music! Little did they know this was a strategic set-up by a mutual friend, Isaiah, who knew these two nerds would hit it off. And they certainly did!

After meeting on the radio, Mike asked Gabe out. She said yes. Then, she said no. But fate would not let them be. A few weeks later, the two reconnected at another nerdy event, this time an Anime Convention in Atlantic City. Again, their mutual friend Isaiah orchestrated their meeting, knowing they were meant for each other. Gabe and Mike spent the entire convention glued to each other's sides. Something clicked over this weekend and they couldn't stop talking even when they got back home and into the routines of their lives.

Gabe loves Halloween and all things spooky. Because of this, she throws a spooky-themed party to celebrate her birthday in early November. Mike attended this party and it was here that he asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes and now they've had plenty of adventures cosplaying and dressing up together!

Mike is a *huge* fan of the card game, Magic the Gathering. Knowing this, Gabe cooked up a plan that was months in the making. First, commissioning best friend & artist, Kat to design a special Magic card named, Proposal that featured Mike and Gabe as the art. Then, Gabe worked to create an entire deck full of romantic cards, including specially Photoshopped cards where she swapped in her and Mike's faces. But more importantly, included the cards Wedding Ring and Proposal. On Mike's birthday, the plan was set into motion. Being the geek he is, Mike was able to guess at Gabe's proposal and proposed right back to her! They both said yes!
