Just a 45-minute drive from Bend lies Smith Rock State Park. Great for hiking, running, climbing or a picnic! They have lots of well-maintained trails– ask us for a rec! Parking is $10 for the day and can be paid onsite at a kiosk. Bring sunscreen, hats and LOTS of water. Watch for rattlesnakes, especially at dawn and dusk!
Rent tubes, kayaks & SUP's through Tumalo Creek & Kayak for a river float! To DIY it, park one car at Bend Whitewater Park (at the end of the float) and another car at Farewell Bend Park (start of the float). Or, book a spot with Tumalo's Park & Float option. Bring some bevvies & sun protection. This float only takes about 1-2 hours so it's a perfect afternoon activity!
Ron Borkan's favorite spot in Bend...so you know it's good :) Drive up for a view of the falls or hike up beyond the falls along the forested canyon for more, less trafficked, waterfalls!
Located in our old neighborhood, The Lot is a great spot for a casual lunch/dinner in the heart of Bend's Westside! We recommend Fricken Faco's (GF) fried chicken with a side of their buffalo & fricken sauce! Enjoy beers, a covered patio and other food options of course.
Where we became known as the "Triple-Double Couple" for our order of 3 double cheeseburgers. Smash burgers & a family friendly spot–what's not to love!
Located just up the road from The Lot, Olvidemos is our favorite place to enjoy an evening out. We love their east coast oysters & vermouth spritz!
