Things To Do

Indianapolis Motor Speedway

4790 W 16th St, Indianapolis, IN 46222

If this is your first time to Indianapolis, visiting IMS is a must. Home of the largest sporting event in the world (over 325,000 people), and also Mike’s favorite annual sports tradition, the Indy 500 is what Indy is best known for around the world. Bonus fun fact: the winning car from the first ever Indy 500 in 1911 was built in the building hosting our wedding!

Carmel Shops and Restaurants

Carmel

At the Carmel City Center you’ll find shops and restaurants. In Midtown Carmel you can walk on the Monon Trail or get a drink at numerous options, including the host of our first date, Social Cantina. Main Street also has plenty of options for shopping as well, just be prepared for more roundabouts than you’ve ever seen.

The Yard in Fishers

9713 District North Dr, Fishers, IN 46037

Our hometown downtown! The Yard in Fishers has great lunch spots or cocktail bars to choose from, including the 1933 Lounge owned by St. Elmos. If you’ve not heard about it before you’ll probably be confused that I’m recommending seafood in the heart of Indiana, but the shrimp cocktail is world famous and a must try if you’re there.

Downtown Noblesville

20 N Ninth St, Noblesville, IN 46060

If you want to stay close by, Noblesville has a few options for you as well. A lot of good antique stores if you’re into that (at least that’s what Evelyn tells me), a river that you can kayak if you’re looking to stay cool, or if you’re really feeling adventurous you can do the Nickle Plate Railbike. Full disclaimer: we have not yet tried this but if we do this summer I’ll update this, otherwise if someone decides to try it out please let us know how it is!

For all the days along the way
