Liz and Mike met in 2019 on the dating app, Hinge. Shortly after, becoming a "match", Liz and Mike had their first date in Charlottesville at Three Notched Brewery. The night was so fun and lively that they headed to the downtown mall that same night to a speak-easy called The Alley Light. Both of them knew after their first date night, they shared something unique and special. The first date went so well that they went on their second date the very next day! From the that second date, things got serious quickly and the rest is history! We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with our close friends and family.

After Liz and Mike went engagement ring shopping in June, Mike had bought Liz's engagement ring shortly after in August and was planning on proposing soon after. He was trying to think of a place that Liz loves to go to. One of the places she loves is Pippin Hill; it is Liz's favorite winery in Charlottesville. After all, it is the perfect spot for an engagement. It offers views of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, delicious wine, and ambiance. September 19th, the day of the proposal, Liz was already at the winery with two of her friends and now bridesmaids, Alicia and Kerianne. Mike was very curious when Liz was going there and wanted to know all the details. Alicia said her husband was going to be there so Mike should come too. When Liz, Alicia, and Kerianne arrived, Liz mentioned to them " Mike should just propose here". Little did Liz know, shortly after she said those words, she would have a ring on her finger! It was the absolute perfect proposal on a beautiful September afternoon. They were in front of quite a crowd and many cheers and applauses were heard! BEST feeling ever!!
