We’re taking the Leap!

(Elisa’s version)- freshman year, 2002. We went to a small college and all the bio kids were in every class together and there were only 6 or 7 pre-med kids. We didn’t become friends until our 3rd year but still, freshman year! (Mike’s version) - Elisa and I circled around each other for a long time. Like 15+ years. We met sometime in college at FIT. Don’t ask me when; I don’t know exactly 😂. Elisa says it was freshman year, right away. While that is most certainly correct, I would say we became friends during our junior year. Game nights with friends, long AIM conversations, and a shared love of music sparked a long friendship that simmered slowly over more than a decade, until time & space finally aligned for us.

On vacation in San Francisco, we decided to travel down the coast to see Monterey and Carmel by the Sea. After lunch at a cute little restaurant, we stopped to see the Pacific Ocean because it was a beautiful and cloudless day. While walking along, Mike asked and without hesitation, Elisa said yes!
