About Our Non-Profit Venue -The Mission Beach Women's Club "MBWC" & Their Mission

The MBWC is dedicated to educational enrichment, community service, social opportunities and charitable giving. They were organized on November 4, 1926 when ten ladies, mostly Navy wives, gathered together to form a club devoted to the ideals of community service. Their fundraisers allow them to fund World War II veterans in San Diego to travel to the Washington DC Memorial, to purchase lighting for beach parking lots, a lifeguard tower for MB, a camera for Fire Station #21, a police dog for the SDPD, local school musical insutruments, new equipment for the SD Junior Lifeguard Program and much more. In the Spring of 2014, they raised money to fund Fire Station 21 in PB , giving them $30,000 for much needed equipment. They give away $25,000 to $50,000 each year from the income generated by the facility. Today the MBWC continues its role of community service. They are a nonprofit organization with the revenue generated through the venue rental flowing directly back into the community.

Parking

Answer

Please allow some additional time for parking. Parking in Mission Beach can be difficult. There are two parking lots adjacent to the venue with free beach parking. There is also street parking on Mission Blvd. There are also several large parking lots at Belmont Park, where you can park and take a VERY short Uber/Lyft ride (less than a mile) to the venue. Please contact us if you need any additional parking suggestions.
