FLYING IN

All guests will need to fly into Maui (OGG). There are direct flights from Chicago (ORD) and lots of connecting flights from New York. For New York, you can depart from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Common layovers include DEN, SFO, DFW, ORD, or HNL. For cheaper options, consider booking two one-way flights instead of a traditional roundtrip. Mike and Carrie will be heading to Maui on Saturday, April 18 so feel free to come along or join us later in the week!

Rental Car

RENTAL CAR OPTIONS

We recommend you book months in advance, especially for SUVs, convertibles, Jeeps, or larger vans—April is moderate tourist season, and rentals fill up fast! RENTAL CARS: To rent a car at Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui, you can choose from several major rental companies located at the airport's Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC) facility. Companies like Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, Thrifty, Budget, Alamo, Dollar and Thirfty, etc. are available. You'll need to follow signs to the baggage claim area, then take a quick bus ride to the ConRAC facility. Turo also offers rentals at the airport, with a range of vehicles and prices. OTHER MODES OF TRANSPORTATION: -Kaanapali Trolley: This free shuttle runs daily from 10 AM to 10 PM, with stops every ~30 minutes—including at Whalers Village and nearby resorts like the Westin, Hyatt, and Kaanapali Villas. It's complimentary and easy to use, perfect for a fun day of shopping or dinner. -Uber & Lyft: You can request rides 24/7, though evening wait times may be longer, so using Uber Reserve or scheduling ahead is a good idea. -Local Taxis & Private Shuttles: West Maui Taxi, CB Maui Taxi, and Maui Pleasant Taxi serve Lahaina and the Kaanapali area.

This is a cheaper option on the island that offers a more casual alternative to the Hyatt, with unique beachfront bungalows. Great for groups! Beachfront Bungalows: Private, stand-alone cottages steps from the ocean—choose from studio, junior suite, one- or two-bedroom configurations. Each includes a private lanai, garden or ocean views. Lahaina Kai Tower Rooms: Upgraded rooms and suites with lanais offering sweeping views of the Pacific or resort garden.
