On a fateful day in the fall of 2015, our eyes met in the Kuenzel room of the Michigan Union at a volunteer club (Circle K) meeting. A few months later, Mike shoehorned his way into a volunteer shift with Carly to raise money for a Spring Break service trip (and to spend more time with her). We spent the whole shift getting to know each other. We were so busy chatting we only raised $2, but it was the most fruitful hour of lives. A few months later we began dating, and a few months into our relationship Carly suggested that we should move to Chicago together after graduation. Mike thought she was a bit crazy for planning so far ahead, but Carly had an inkling this was something special. So after graduation, we moved to Chicago! We moved in together into a tiny apartment and lived the city life. We adopted our beautiful, crazy Maizey girl and became a family. 🐶 After a few years in Chicago, Mike got a job in Seattle so we moved again! This spring we bought our first house together, coincidentally the same week that Mike proposed! Over our seven years together we have created some beautiful memories, and have been blessed with amazing family and friends. We are looking forward to celebrating our love together with you on our wedding day!
