One blustery autumn day a very large very sad bear was sitting in his cave by the river when a happy little tiger came skipping by. The happy little tiger showed the bear how to be happy and silly, and now the very large bear is very happy all the time and he lives in a new cave with the happy little tiger.
In the Fall of 2015, Mike moved into a small apt in Riverwest that happened to be a short walk down a raccoon infested alley away from Ana. At the time, they were coworkers at the Betty Brinn Museum who had each just weathered particularly rocky portions of their lives and enjoyed commiserating over a shared love of food, indie movies, cats, GIF communication, typography, cats, Beyonce, the outdoors, and cats. A friendship quickly developed. Mike would walk the alley most mornings to bring coffee from Fuel and Ana would drive them both to work. Over time, they slowly let their guard down and realized that they were more "themselves" together than either of them had felt in a very long time. Over the past three years they have shared some incredible highs ( buying a home, the Cubs winning the world series) and some challenging lows (Ana's surgery, the passing of Kole) but each and every experience has only brought them closer. They now look forward to a long future together surrounded by family, cats and leaning on each other to pursue their passions.
