Our story began long before we ever realized it. We attended the same high school, but it wasn’t until our paths crossed at our job at the time (Starbucks) that we officially met in Spring of 2016. What started as casual conversations slowly grew into a genuine friendship—and soon after, something more. We graduated high school together in 2016 and spent a memorable summer side by side before Mike left for college in August. Even with the distance, we stayed close, and in September 2016, we officially became a couple. For the first two years of college, we made the most of every weekend we could spend together, counting down the days until summer breaks reunited us again. Everything changed for the better when Ammanda transferred to Mike’s college in 2018. From studying for exams to cheering each other on, we navigated college life together and proudly graduated in 2020. When the world shut down during the 2020 pandemic, we quarantined together—because by then, being inseparable just felt natural. Grad school, however, brought a new challenge: long distance again. Every weekend, Mike drove to visit Ammanda until his program ended, and in Spring 2023, he finally moved in with her. As we built our careers, we also built our little family—adopting a mischievous black cat (Cleo) and creating a home filled with laughter, movie nights, and lots of love. In September 2024, we moved into a new apartment, and just a few months later—on December 21, 2024—we got engaged! Looking back, every chapter has brought us closer together, and we feel incredibly lucky to call each other best friends and soon-to-be husband and wife. We can’t wait to celebrate this next big chapter of our lives with all of you!
