On November 9th, 2025 Mike and Abby got engaged on a fall evening along a creek at Brubaker park in Fivepointville, Pennsylvania. During a rainy Sunday morning after church and lunch Mike and Abby went back to Mike’s house for the evening. Meanwhile his dad Jeff and brother-in-law Jared were busy setting up a romantic scene in the woods. A candle lit path along the creek leading to his grandmother’s garden archway decorated with twinkling lights, pumpkins, leaves and fall decor. As the preparation concluded the rain stopped and the they arrived at the top of the park. They walked down the grassy hill, through the woods, and along the turtle pond until she could see the candle lit path beginning at a small stone bridge. She took the lead slowly, as he reached for the diamond ring hidden in a small tree stump behind her back. As she arrived to the archway, Mike got on his knee and simply said “my love will you marry me”. Before he could even finish, with tears in her eyes Abby said yes! And the rest is history.
