Should we bring a bathing suit?

Answer

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to swim and play in the water. There will be water games (cornhole, water pong, etc) along with floaties. It wouldn’t be a lake wedding without swimming!

Will there be food?

Answer

Yes! There will be buffet-style dinner served after the ceremony at the reception along with late night snacks at the after party. There will also be drinks available, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic - we will have a few specialty cocktails and an outdoor bar set up.

What is the dress code/what does “dressy casual” mean?

Answer

Dress for the weather, but dress for a wedding! Essentially, no jeans/t-shirts. Skirts, sundresses, fancier dresses (if you’d like), shorts, button-ups, etc. are all totally fine. We want everyone to be comfortable, but we want it to feel like a celebration. Use your best judgment & don’t forget a swimsuit!

What time should we plan on arriving?

Answer

Any time after 2:00 is perfectly fine. We are tentatively planning on beginning the ceremony at 2:30. Prior to 2:00, we will be busy getting everything and everybody ready.
