-At the airport, after Immigration and Baggage Claim, you will put your luggage thru the conveyer belt prior to clearing customs (they no longer do the stop light button in cancun). After clearing customs, DO NOT STOP - go straight to the shuttle pick up zone. (we will send info once we are close to our wedding week) -Do not drink the faucet water. Ice is made from purified water so is typically safe to drink at the resort. (I don't suggest having ice outside the resort) -USD is ample for the resort. Only time we have used Pesos is for gas. -DO NOT use a credit card at gas stations or questionable places. (if you need help deciding if it's safe, you can ask us)

For the wedding, we are asking you to dress beach formal - We recommend a formal summer sundress (any length) for the ladies, and a summer suit, linen or khaki pants/shorts for the guys. For the resort, there are two restaurants which have a formal dress code.
If you are only staying at the resort - No, you will not need to take out pesos - only cash you will need will be for tips (and they will take dollars). If you leave the resort and take a cab, they take either dollars or pesos but know that you should negotiate the fare before getting in the car. There are two ATMs at the resort: one for US dollars and one for Pesos. The exchange rate/fee to withdraw is high, so if you'd like to have cash or pesos on hand, we recommend getting beforehand.
There are bottles of water throughout the resort, in your rooms, and at all outdoor locations for consumption. Do not drink the tap water - at the resort or anywhere else. That said, the ice at the resort is made from purified water, so you can safely have ice in your drinks. Most restaurants and bars in town will also use ice from purified water, but ask (or just don't have it) if you are uncertain.
In Quintana Roo - a lot of places do require non-Deet bug spray and biodegradable sunscreen to protect the sea life.
