When should I RSVP by?

Question

Traverse City is big - what area should I stay in?

Answer

We highly(!!!) recommend staying in or near (within walking distance of) downtown Traverse City. Please reference the Travel page or the next question for more info. Rideshares and taxis are limited, and we will be providing transportation to the wedding leaving from Hotel Indigo and the Bayshore Resort.

Do you have any lodging recommendations?

Answer

We have hotel wedding blocks at Hotel Indigo Traverse City and the Bayshore Resort, and have created lists of recommended AirBnbs and VRBOs for your convenience. We highly recommend staying in or near downtown Traverse City.

Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Shuttles will pick guests up from Hotel Indigo and the Bayshore Resort starting at 2:30pm. Shuttles will bring guests back to the same spots after the reception.

Is there parking for the wedding?

Answer

Parking will be available at our wedding venue. Guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight and pick them up on Sunday morning.

Can I Uber to the wedding?

Answer

Rideshares (Uber, Lyft, etc.) and taxis are limited in the Traverse City area. We would not recommend relying on an Uber/taxi to get to the wedding; guests should plan to either take the provided shuttles or drive to the venue.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

If driving, plan to arrive at the venue by 3:45pm to allow time for parking and getting to the ceremony spot. Shuttles will be making loops from Hotel Indigo and the Bayshore Resort to our venue starting at 2:30pm.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Friday (8pm - 10pm; come-and-go): Welcome Party - The Parlor TC - Casual attire, drinks and light appetizers provided Sunday (10am - 1pm; come-and-go): Post-Wedding Brunch - The Shanafelt's house - Casual attire, drinks and brunch provided

What COVID precautions are you taking?

Answer

The safety and health of our guests, as well as ensuring that our international guests are able to return home, is our top priority. In addition to adhering to all local COVID guidelines, please review the precautions in place: - Each part of our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) will take place outdoors - Masks will be provided for guests if they would like to wear one - We request that any guests who feel sick or have any reason to believe they've been exposed to COVID take a PCR or rapid test
