You can rent bikes downtown, the corner of L and 4th Ave. And bike down along the coastal trail that starts right at Elderberry park. It’s a really nice ride, you don’t even notice before you go for miles. Watch out for wildlife! 🐻

Coastal Trail - Elderberry Park

Ten minutes south of Anchorage, the start of nice hiking trails into the mountains, or just a nice lookout over Cook Inlet, gorgeous view of the mountains.

McHugh Creek

Gorgeous lake to go walk out to, there are also hiking trails that go above the lake into the mountains. So beautiful. Worth the 30 mile drive out of town.
