Located less than a mile from The Edgewater, Ancora Cafe is our favorite place to grab breakfast and coffee near the capital!
Lucille
If you're looking for some good eats while in town Lucille is a favorite of ours near the capital. Less than a mile from The Edgewater, we recommend their wood fired pizza!
Tornado Steak House
Cozy and intimate steakhouse with excellent food a 1/2 mile from The Edgewater. They have a late night menu available from 10:30pm-midnight that we LOVE and is a great spot if you are looking for a late night bite.
Blended
About a 15 minute drive from The Edgewater, we love stopping at Blended for a smoothie or acai bowl, even in the cold months :)
Ice Skating at The Edgewater
One of our favorite dates while Owen lived in Madison, you can rent some skates and go ice skating at the rink right on The Edgewater's property!
Hilldale Shopping Center
An open-air mall filled with several great shops and restaurants if you have some extra time while in Madison but want to stay indoors! Located a 12 minute drive from The Edgewater.
Picnic Point Walk
If you've brought some winter layers and are looking to get outdoors during our wedding weekend, we recommend trying out the Picnic Point walk! The parking lot is a 10 minute drive from The Edgewater. Easy walk down a path that leads out to a beautiful view of Lake Mendota and the capital!
Henry Vilas Zoo
A fun (and free!) zoo only 10 minutes driving from The Edgewater to check out if you have a few extra hours while in town. And yes, we still recommend even in the winter :)
