We met in 2021, crossing paths in the early morning hours at the gym. Before that though, Benji had already been part of Mikayla’s world, he and Loki had their fair share of playdates. Then, in a twist neither of us could have planned, Kyle ended up adopting Benji, and he became the invisible string that tied our lives together. What once felt like coincidence started to feel like something more. What started as helping care for Benji turned into long conversations, easy laughter, and finding any excuse to spend a little more time together.
