We're getting married.

Our love story began in Bowmanville, Ontario, at Mikayla’s Zizi Lisa’s coffee shop. Mikayla worked behind the counter, and Joe, supposedly dropping in for sales calls or grabbing lunch, found more and more reasons to stop by. The real reason? He couldn’t stop thinking about the girl with the funny sense of humor, bright smile, and a suspicious habit of only complaining about the POS system when he was around. After a few “coincidental” visits, Joe decided it was time to take a leap. He asked Lisa for help with an introduction. “Which one, my daughter or my niece?” she asked. “The blonde one,” Joe replied. Without missing a beat, Lisa marched into the back, grabbed Mikayla’s phone, punched in Joe’s number, and the rest, as they say, is history. After some fun first dates and a year of getting to know each other, Mikayla and Joe officially started dating in March of 2018. Seven years, countless laughs, and one unforgettable engagement in Italy later, they're now saying "I do."
