Mikayla and Johnny first met over dinner as incoming transfer students to Olivet Nazarene University. They quickly became friends as they bonded over CrossFit, coffee, and not understanding each other's culture. They first went out together on Johnny's birthday for 5 am CrossFit, and they got a coffee after, where they talked for an hour about life (Mikayla mostly talked). A few days later, Johnny jokingly asked Mikayla to go out to Chicago, where she agreed. Johnny thought it was a joke, but Mikayla thought he was serious. They enjoyed the views of Chicago and began to get to know each other. As time went on, Johnny asked Mikayla out in late September. Since then, they have continued to bond over various activities. Mikayla fell for his dull sense of humor, naturally long eyelashes, and calming presence. While Johnny fell for her independent Alaskan attitude, the unique meals she prepared, and her ambition to live a Christian lifestyle. Johnny proposed to Mikayla in August of 2025 in Olympia, Washington on the Pacific Ocean. They look forward to life they will start together in the suburbs of Boise where Johnny works at a local university and Mikayla will begin her masters program to become a registered dietitian. The only foreseeable issue is Johnny's desire to have 7 children, he is eager to know it'll come to fruition.
