7:00 pm
There’s no formal dress code for the evening, this will be a relaxed, family-style dinner, so feel free to come as you are. If you’d like to dress up, you’re more than welcome to—but jeans are perfectly acceptable, too.
Guests will gather to share a meal lovingly prepared by Ann and Paul Taiganides, served just outside of Agia Paraskevi Church. The address provided will lead you to a restaurant called Treis Piges, where guests will park their cars. From there, signs will guide you on foot to the event location. Note: While gifts are certainly appreciated, they are not expected. Further, we do not expect guests to bring wedding gifts to Greece. If you would like to give us a gift, we would gratefully accept it stateside. Thank you!

Attire: Formal
Guests are kindly expected to wear formal attire; however, there is no strict dress code. Above all, we encourage you to wear something that makes you feel confident, comfortable, and like yourself. Please keep in mind that the ceremony will take place on a mountain, where guests will be walking on uneven, rocky terrain. With this in mind, we recommend choosing clothing and- especially footwear- that is both practical and comfortable. This is particularly important for those considering heels. If you choose to wear a floor-length gown, be aware that the hem will likely get dirty. Our ceremony begins at 1:00 p.m. and will last approximately one hour, followed by a break before the reception. Guests are welcome to relax, snack, and/or mingle during that time which is estimated to last about 2 hours. Be aware that guests will enter and exit the church throughout the ceremony, as is customary in Greece, where many churches are too small to accommodate all attendees at once.
6:30 pm
Our reception will take place at the old schoolhouse in the groom’s village of Avdou, a meaningful and lively spot for gathering and celebration. As many guests will be dancing well into the night, we encourage you to wear something that allows you to move comfortably, especially when it comes to footwear! Guests are welcome to wear the same outfit for both the ceremony and the reception—there’s no need to change. We are only sharing this information so that everyone knows what to expect for the evening.
