***NEW RECEPTION DATE: OCTOBER 23RD, 2021*** -MORE INFO BELOW- yes! Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty of being able to hold a wedding growing and not looking good, we had come to the decision to postpone. We will still legalize our marriage on the original date with a simple elopement, however the celebration ceremony and reception will now be taking place on October 23rd, 2021.
Good question! Yes, we do have a bit of a themed wedding. When trying to decide on what kind of theme, the bride wanting something a little more elegant and formal yet unique and the groom wanting something more casual and fun, they came up with a mashup of a fun Halloween theme and a formal masquerade theme of which they called, "A Haunted Masquerade". It may sound strange at first, but once you arrive to the "eerily", beautiful historical venue, you will see the beautiful elegance of a masquerade ball with little touches of a hauntingly fun Halloween mixture.
Yes! Kids are welcome. Since we want everyone of all ages to have fun, we are planning some easy clean up activities for those youngsters who are having trouble being entertained throughout the duration of the wedding celebration. We'll even have some candy bowls where kids can go around and "trick-or-treat".
The best and easiest answer for that is semi-formal! We want everyone to feel beautiful and dressed up while having fun! Want to match the theme and feel elegant? Dress up like you are going to a masquerade ball! Don't have anything that will fit a more formal setting and/or can't afford or have the time to shop for something fancier than your normal everyday wear? No worries! With the date being set so close to Halloween, we are welcoming Halloween costumes as part of our wedding attire for guests to wear, as long as it's family friendly, and you can show off your creativity by making your own! The point is that we want you to be able to dress up in your own way and still be comfortable and able to have the maximum amount of fun you can have at a wedding.
Yes! Everyone is allowed to have a plus one.
Our wedding colors are more of a color palette of dark jewel tones. So, for example, you can wear any color from a deep dark blue, a plum-ish purple, a deep burgundy red, a light champagne gold, or even a deep emerald green if you wish to match the colors in any way.
As for what exactly on the menu, that is a surprise since it will be served buffet style. Though the entire menu will be vegan friendly.
We are registered on Zola, the site we used to create this website, and you can find our registry under the registry tab.
There is parking available at the venue.
You should arrive no later than 3:30PM.
You should RSVP by August 24th. That way we can have the time to have an entire head count for seating and other arrangements and to make changes if necessary.
