Mikala and Chad’s story started long before they were a couple. Their families have been intertwined for decades, starting with Mikala’s grandparents teaching Chad’s grandparents in grade school. The connections continue to the next generation with their parents’ generation attending high school together and playing on the same basketball team. Some might say there has always been an “invisible string” between the two. Mikala and Chad first met in 3rd grade and continued to stay in similar circles throughout their formative years. They both played tennis and had numerous classes together at Ada High. Later on, they found themselves in the same friend groups, where they spent more time together. As time went on, they grew closer and were official in 2019 when they were both attending The University of Oklahoma. They have only grown stronger over the past several years and they, along with Kowi, continue to be each other’s favorite part of life.
