The Refuge Inn
This is our usual place to stay because of the history it has with Chincoteague. It was one of the original hotels on the island and you can still stay there today! It also has the cutest gift shop! The Refuge Inn is more of a relaxed hotel. It has normal hotel rooms or suites if a large party or family wants to stay together. They have the nicest staff and ponies in their front yard (that you can feed), along with a short 5 minute drive to the beach! There is a beach rental store right beside it that has everything from beach chairs and umbrellas to bikes and towels and toys. We rent from here every year!
