If you are staying at the Tampa Marriot, we are providing a shuttle that will take you to the wedding venue. Otherwise, ubers/lyfts are very easy to order in Tampa.
Weather permitting, the welcome party and the majority of the wedding day will take place outdoors, including the wedding ceremony and reception. Currently, the dinner is inside. We kindly request that all guests be fully vaccinated before attending the wedding, with the exception of children that are ineligible to receive the vaccine. If anyone has questions or a personal concern about this, please just reach out to us directly. Further, we are going to ask all guests to provide a negative PCR COVID test within approx. 48 hours of the wedding. By a PCR test, we mean not the test kit that you can do at-home (those are antigen tests and are unreliable in asymptomatic individuals). We are happy to provide recommendations for local testing sites in Tampa for those that arrive early on Friday. We will follow up closer to the date with an email address you can use to send results.
No! Your presence at our wedding is more than enough! If you do want to get us a gift, we have a registry set up on this website. We would also love it for our guests to contribute instead to one of our favorite charities. The two organizations listed below are both close to our hearts and your support of their critical work would mean the world to us. 1. ReThink: https://actionnetwork.org/fundraising/jackiemikaelwedding/ ReThink is a nonprofit organization led by organizers, academics, and activists. The organization works to engage men and boys to break down the cultural norms that underpin rape and sexual assault. 2. First Shift Justice Project: http://www.firstshift.org/donate/ First Shift Justice Project is a nonprofit with the mission of empowering low-income pregnant women and parents to safeguard the economic security and health of their families by asserting their workplace rights.
