Carpinteria State Beach
Carpinteria is one of our favorite beach towns and the weather should be great in June! We'd recommend stopping by Island Brewing Company on your way to the beach to sample some beer. Santa Monica Pier
When we have a free weekend we usually bike to the pier. We love grabbing lunch at Big Dean's Ocean Front Cafe. It's open seating so you always meet new people. We love the atmosphere and sometimes even watch sports games here. Website: https://www.bigdeansoceanfrontcafe.com/
Santa Barbara Funk Zone
Anytime we plan a get-a-way we choose Santa Barbara. Our favorite place here is the Funk Zone. There are tasting rooms, microbreweries, and so many restaurants to choose from. There's so much to do here. Fun note: Our proposal happened at the end of the pier near the Sea Center, in walking distance from the Funk Zone.
Downtown Ventura
Ventura has a cute downtown! Walking Main Street is a must. There's fun boutiques and a lot of restaurants in the area. Barrelhouse101, Cafe Fiore, and Lure Fish House are some of our favorites. The beach is close too!
