On November 11, 2020, 3 heart-eye emojis in an Instagram dm started our journey. Weeks later, emojis turned to words; words to dates that lasted for hours. We instantly bonded over all things like Enneagram, our individual stories with Christ, childhoods, you name it. Determined to get it “right”, our beginning was slow and intentional. It was a few months before our first kiss, but only hours before we were asking the deep questions of passions and purpose; insecurities and past hurts. We lovingly refer to each other as “mi persona” or “my person” because of all the ways we complement the other. We truly believe that God has shaped our personalities, hearts, and lives for this moment. Soon, exactly 2 years from that first DM, we will start our next chapter as One. On our third date, we went to watch Elf at the drive-in. Halfway through the movie, my car battery died and what would have normally caused anxiety gave us so much time to talk.
