El Yunque National Forest
El Yunque is a tropical rainforest and is the only rainforest in the US! It is a great place to hike and swim in local rivers if you're up for an adventure. There is hiking ranging from short easy walks to 6-8 mile moderate hiking routes. No tickets needed to enter. We recommend exploring the website before you go!
Vieques & Culebra
Vieques and Culebra are small islands off the east coast of PR with beautiful beaches! You will need to buy tickets in advance either online or at the port in Ceiba, PR. Vieques is a larger island, it may be better to stay overnight to get to see more of the island but you can definitely make it a day trip as well. Culebra is a smaller island and is famous for Flamenco Beach which has been rated top 10 in the world in prior years! We typically rent a golf cart or Jeep (allows you to see more of the island).
Viejo San Juan
Old San Juan is the heart of PR! It has cobble stone streets with beautiful bright colored buildings and tons of restaurants/bars. You can explore El Moro and/or San Cristóbal which are historic forts/barracks filled with history. We definitely recommend wearing sneakers!
Bahía Bioluminiscente
There are several locations in PR where you can book a trip to kayak and see bioluminescent bays! Fajardo and Vieques are the closest in proximity to the hotel. Note: Best when there is little to no moon
Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort
There are multiple pools, 2-miles of beautiful beach, 36 holes of golf (two courses), casino, Mandara spa, tennis/pickleball courts, and trips/tours available through the hotel!
