Mikaela and Ethan first met in 2016 during their freshman year at Stephen F. Austin State University as forestry students of the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture. They shared just about every forestry-related class together and became fast friends after constantly making each other laugh and bonding over the fact they were both from the Dallas area. Over the next 3 years Mikaela and Ethan became close after countless long nights of studying for exams and weekend shenanigans and became best friends. Although they did not realize it for 3 years, it was only a matter of time before they recognized that they were the perfect match for each other. There really was no first date leading up to the beginning of Mikaela and Ethan as a couple. They both expressed feelings of more than friendship to each other and on October 4th of 2019, they decided that they were going to be together, from that point on until otherwise. It was easy. They didn't second guess themselves and they weren't worried about how they would integrate their lives. It was so effortless that it was only a few months until they moved to Houston together after graduation and started their new lives together. After 7 years of being in each other’s lives and 4 years together, Ethan proposed to Mikaela on October 21st of 2023 in the azalea gardens on the campus where they first met. Their story is simple for a love that is so deep. They are just two people destined to be together who were lucky enough to find each other. They met at the right place and the right time in their lives and were exactly what the other needed. Mikaela and Ethan have never been more certain about something and are excited to continue this love story and their life together.
