Megan and Mikaela met in 4th grade while singing in a school musical together, and have been inseparable friends ever since! After attending middle school and high school together, they both studied Interior Architecture at UW-Stevens Point where their friendship strengthened even more. Post-graduation, Megan and Mikaela both landed in Illinois pursuing careers in design! Like magnets, they can never be too far away from each other after all these years!

Jen and Mikaela first became friends in elementary school where they formed a bond unlike any other! Though Jen moved to another town in high school, the two stayed close as friends and eventually joined each other as roommates at UW-Stevens Point 2013-2014. Now well into their adult lives, they continue to love, laugh and support each other throughout various phases of life!

Teagan and Mikaela began their lifelong friendship in kindergarten. After countless laughs and endless shenanigans in middle school and high school, the two went separate ways but never lost their sisterly love for each other! Now, both Teagan and Mikaela get to share the special honor of standing in support of each other's marriages.

Liz and Mikaela met in 2014, where they both suffered (I mean served) at Charcoal Grill to pay their way through college. After discovering their mutual connection to Rick and Cory, the two girls became great friends and bonded over shared passion for coffee and food. Since then, they have become travel buddies and enjoy discussing plants, life and everything in-between whenever they are together!
Rick Mellonig
Best Man
Rick and Cory met while filming homemade Jackass videos with a mutual friend in high school. After graduation, they went separate ways for a few years but reconnected in Stevens Point, WI in 2012. Though they went separate ways again in 2017, the two of them have a long history of shenanigans to reminisce and have remained great friends despite the long distance between them!
Kyle Roberts
Groomsman
Kyle and Cory met at work in 2012, while gaining their nuclear radiation protection qualifications. Over the years since, they have followed each other from plant to plant, and even landed at the same home base in Braidwood, IL. After Cory had the honor of standing up in Kyle's wedding, Kyle is now returning the favor for one of his closest pals!
Jeremy DeGroodt

Jeremy and Cory also met in 2012, while working as contractors for Illinois' nuclear power plants. The two quickly became friends and have bonded over a shared passion for craft beer and smoked meats. In recent years, they have enjoyed various travels together, including trips to Vegas and Nashville!
Cody Burns
Groomsman
Cody and Cory met in 2009 playing paint ball in Oklahoma. The boys knew each other through their parents' mutual friendship, and have continued on the legacy through shared career paths and passion for debauchery! Cody is also returning the favor of groomsmanship for Cory after his own wedding in 2019.
Nicole Weir

Nicole and Mikaela met at UW-Stevens Point in 2014. These girls crossed paths many times through various connections, and quickly understood the assignment: to be friends! And so they did. Ten years later and they still talk almost every day, always finding something to laugh about or vent about!
Layne Qualy

Layne and Mikaela also met during their time at UW-Stevens Point, while working together at Charcoal Grill. Mutual friendships brought them together after work hours, and they've been friends ever since! Twice per year, these two get together along with Liz and Nicole to catch up on all of life's adventures and challenges.
Whitney Berndt

Whitney and Mikaela go WAY back, before they can even remember! Together they share so many memories, from singing in church, to learning in school, playing in sports, crying together, and laughing until it hurt. These two have been friends through thick and thin! All these years later and now Whitney is serving the important role of witness, supporting Cory and Mikaela in their newest adventure as husband and wife.
Jodie Baudek

Jodie Baudek is a renowned wellness coach, author, public speaker, pilates instructor and owner of Essence of Life. She met both Cory and Mikaela in 2018 when they started attending yoga classes at her studio in Shorewood, IL! A couple of years later, Cory gifted Mikaela with a studio membership that set her on a trajectory to grow and strengthen relationships there. Jodie has since become a close friend and mentor to Mikaela, and has accepted the honor of officiating the union between this special couple!
