We have known each other for a long time, since we both were in Mrs. Friendt's pm kindergarten class! But we really got to know each other well during high school. We connected after having several different classes together and working on different group projects. We didn't talk as much during our senior year of high school, but we did reconnect in college as friends. We spent a lot of our Saturday evenings playing games together or watching movies over skype and we were constantly texting each other. Fast forward to April 2019, We decided to hang out in person at Mika's University. Eating chinese food on the floor of Mika's dorm, we decided to see what it would be like being more than friends. Our first date was in May of 2019 at Interstate State Park. We celebrated Mika's birthday with a picnic and a long walk around the park, just talking and cracking jokes (mostly about the Reynold's number of the river, if ya know ya know). There were many more dates after that first one. We took long walks around the neighborhood, had gaming nights, dinners out, and plenty of late night conversations. Fast forward 3 years, we decided to move in together in 2022. Now we have dinner together every night, plan yearly vacations together, and we still spend a lot of Saturday nights in playing games together, just like when we were in college. After 5 years together, Mika proposed in Rice Street Park under the beautiful Christmas lights. I, of course, said yes! Which brings us here! We are really excited to being this new chapter together and extra excited to celebrate it with all of you!
