Miguel and I met when we were both 15 years old after being introduced by a mutual friend. Our first date was at the Nelco Movie Theater in Greenville, and that night he asked me to be his girlfriend. As high school sweethearts, we spent our time doing the simple things we loved most, like going to the movies, enjoying picnics, and cheering each other on at sporting events. Through those early years, we grew closer and learned how to support and care for one another. After high school, we followed each other to Delta State and continued our journey together. We spent most of our time attending each other’s sorority and fraternity events, building a strong relationship, and growing both individually. After seven years of love, growth, and shared memories, Miguel proposed. What started as a teenage love story has grown into a lifelong commitment, and we are so excited to begin this next chapter together, surrounded by the people we love most.
