We met at Pub 46 in Clifton, NJ. It was the end of the night where everyone needed to leave because of closing hours. I (Miguelina) was outside walking back towards the entrance with my bestfriend, Cristal. I look over and seen him .. I literally tripped and then he called us over. Ever since then we’ve been inseperable.

June 2016 is when I (Joseph) started to plan for one of the most memorable moments in my life. I was calling family and friends to keep them informed about my surprise proposal that Miguelina will forever remember. It was pretty hard to get a ring because I didnt know what style she loved and I had to be as discreet as possible. During the process of looking for a ring, I would look online, local malls, and other jewlery stores. Nothing gave me a WOW factor. The search continued for about 5 months before I decided to customize the perfect ring. Now, the tough part. The date of proposal. If ya know Lina like I do, she is Ace Ventura Pet Detective. This definitley made it hard for me to make it a surprise proposal. I would have to make appointments with the jewler without her knowing. During the time of the process, we were expecting our baby boy Noah. So I decided to propose to her at our baby shower (she would’ve never known). But then again she is top dog detective haha. Finally, the day had arrived. I woke up super early because of the butterflies and anxiousness. I tried not to act weird. Before I knew it it was almost time for the baby shower. As I was getting dressed I looked at the ring one last time and kinda teared up before putting it in my back pocket. As guests were arriving, I was informing them to stick around because I was going to propose. Everyone was having a good time before BOOM! the time had arrived. Lina was outside talking to friends, music shuts off, family fron NJ on facetime. I finally asked for her hand in marriage and she said cried and was in shock she took the ring and didnt say anything. We came inside the house to dance and she was still crying until she finally said, YES.
