We met when we very young online, back when yahoo had chat groups, we had met in a chat for young gay men, we never met in person but for years we talked back and forth. In our twenties Matt started to invite me over and I always blew him off to do other things, never giving him a second thought. However we remained Pen pals, or e-mail buddies. Then in our mid thirties we found out we had been living in the same neighborhood for about two years. So, I took a shot and invited Matt to my house. If I'm honest it did take a little convincing. But He did finally come over for a visit and at first we were just two regular geeks watching Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate Atlantis,and Doctor Who. In time our love of sci fi, Romantic Comedies, and Music had grown into something unexpected, While we still have varying taste in music and movies, We quickly became inseperable. It was a rough year that first year. We lost loved ones and our home shortly after moving in together, and our only car broke down but we banded together and dug in our heels to fight our way out of the deep dark whole life had thrown us in. Through it all we had each other. And that was enough. It was enough to achieve anything that was put before us. Withen that first year, we got a new home, bought a new car and when we finally got back on top of our game I proposed to Matt. I had planned to take Matt to a carnival and purpose at the top of the Ferris Wheel and say something cheesy about being on top of the world. However in a last minute change of plans I asked him at our Home. Down on My knee I told him how hard the last year was, and how for me it was so much better because he was with me, I told him he didn't have to answer now and I asked him to marry me. He thought for a second, a second that seemed like a million years and sad"Yes."
