His Version: I remember meeting (or at least trying to impress) Jenna at a volleyball game among mutual friends over the summer. I guess I failed because she doesn't remember that, so our official meet didn't happen until months later when I played a drinking game with her at a party. She was smitten and immediately asked me to go out to a hockey game the next day. Her Version: My friend was hosting a party to celebrate being done with the LSAT. Miguel was at the party and we bonded over a drinking game. The Islanders were in DC for a pre-season game the next day so I invited him to tag along with me and a few other friends. A couple weeks after that, he finally convinced me to go on a date with him.
We had a “DC list” of things we wanted to see and do in the city. Miguel suggested going to the Bishop’s Garden at the National Cathedral. Jenna thought it was just another thing to see on our list before heading to meet friends for brunch. But Miguel had bigger plans… After Miguel proposed, the church bells went off and a photographer popped out of hiding. We walked around to take photos and let it all sink in. Then we headed to brunch – but little did Jenna know that our families and close friends traveled in to celebrate with us! That was it, right? Nope. We got back to our apartment with another surprise waiting - our group of DC friends were there and the celebrations continued!
Our wedding will be later than originally planned, but we still can't wait to celebrate with you! Check out the travel page of our website for details on flights and hotels. See you in Charlotte!
